Kathleen,
I know one of the things that got me hired was that I answered the questions that I would do whatever was necessary to help a student succeed.
You need to make it clear that if you had issues w/ someone/something, that you would always seek out advice from an admistrator. You want to come across as a TEAM PLAYER!!!
Be prepared to discuss parent involvement, CR management, differentiated instruction, inclusion, state tests, critical thinking

I would go on their school website. they usually give information about the programs they teach. get ready for those types of questions.

GREAT IDEA!! I def did that before all my interviews. It helps!!!

Kathleen, I found something for you. Here are some questions I found from a great source:

What type of reading program did you use in student teaching (or any other placement) (basal, novel, whole language, etc.)?

How would you describe the ways children learn from birth to age 9?

If you could design the ideal elementary classroom, what would it look like?

We know that children learn by making connections, What implications does this have for curriculum at the elementary level?

What subject area do you believe is your strength, which is your weakest? What steps will you take to improve in this area?

How do you incorporate writing into your curriculum?

Classrooms have become much more diverse, with the inclusion of special needs children, children from different socioeconomic backgrounds, and children from different cultures in the same classroom. How do you expect to meet the needs of all the students in your class?
