Introducing Myself & Crescent Beach Club questions

Hello,

I've been lurking here for a while and it's time to introduce myself. I've been engaged for too long and have researched tons of venues in NJ, Long Island, and Hudson Valley.

I was getting so frustrated as we were having such trouble finding the right venue, and my impatient friends and family said to just pick any one, but I wanted one that my fiance and both loved.

So this website always has such great info and now I'm on the verge of booking Crescent Beach Club for this June 2008! My fiance actually said he felt his heart pounding when he saw the view, and he never says things like that!

So I am going to need a photographer, dj, florist, hotel and possible hair person and do this in 4 months on a very tight budget (as every bride says).

Wow, when we were driving away from the Crescent I was freaking out. I had begun to think that we'd never find the right place and we have and now it's actually REAL! My wedding is not some far off abstract thing anymore. Scary and wild.

Anyway, all help is appreciated. 4 months to pull it together and I will be asking lots of questions and any insights on CBC are really helpful too!

CONGRATS! I love the CBC.

They give you a list of their preferred vendors. If you go to the ones on the list you get an extra discount from the vendors. Try those first.

Then, you can just search for opinions on the vendors on the website.

RE: photographers, go to the vendors tab and just click on the photographers on there. See which one suits you and FH style the best.

First of all CONGRATULATION.

I was a Crescent Beach bride - and one thing I can say about that place is WOW...the food was amazing (if you doubt it try their public restaurant the Pine Island Grill), the service was fantastic....everything was fabulous!!

FM me if you need help...like vendors (band, florist,makeup, etc!!)

Congratulations!! You should look into your RH's preferred vendors list first. Alot of perferred vendors will give you a discount because they are recommended by your RH.

You should talk to Denise at the CBC. I am getting married there in June 2008 as well! She has bee super helpful with reccomending vendors in my price range.

Of the CBC vendors, i am using...

photo/video: Patken (recommended by CBC)...request Vinny or Jesse for photo and Andy for video. They are actually friends of mine and are great. Vinny has ton of rave reviews on LIW.

calypso band: andre phillipe

the rest i used recommendations from friends.

I am getting married there in September. I cannot believe they had a date open in June. Congrats. I booked one of their preferred bands and am interviewing two of their flowers vendors. Good luck and happy planning. Can't wait to hear the review from your wedding.

Officially booked CBC!

Thank you ladies for all your help and the welcome! So, it's official, we went back to Crescent today and put down our deposit. YAY!!!

It was raining so hard today, but the Crescent still looked beautiful and the ocean had a romantic dramatic moodiness even in the rain and fog. So, now we know even if if rains, it'll be great :) I can't wait to see it with sun and a blue sky. I get such a great feeling from the place and the people that work there which is sooo important to me.

So, the vendor search is full speed ahead, all recs are appreciated and please fm me if you want to talk about CBC or whatever :)

I've researched halls all over the place, but these boards are the most informative and friendly boards out there. So thank you!
