Yea it went up...

but median only went up about 5.5% and average about 6%

not as much increase as in prior years...

Things like this scare me!!

I live in New Mexico right now...when FH gets back from Iraq we are going to buy a home here. He has one more year of college, and then after the wedding we plan on moving to NY. Even with some appreciation with the homes here in New Mexico...so that we could have a bigger down payment...I don't know how we'll ever afford to live there

How do people do it?

Nassau medican prices appear to be the lowest since June 2005. This is encouraging!

FH and I went driving around some neighborhoods yesterday....

you could throw a rock and hit 3 for sale signs....

and when we checked the last sale prices, one house on the market for $400 sold for $197 in 2001

I really don't understand why so many people are selling their homes.

I live in a new community and its the same thing. For Sale signs all over.

I see this too in NJ! All of the sudden it seems every other house on my street is on the market.

because they probably paid $200K less for the property 5 years ago and want to cash out that crazy increase in equity!
