If I am ever going to do it now is the time. I am looking for lots of feed back.

Re: Invisaline or not to Invisaline?
First, see if you are a candidate for it. I had had braces age 10-12, and had been negligent in wearing my retainer, so my bottom two teeth in the middle moved out. They were out enough so that I couldn't do invisalign, and had to have braces for 6 mos and now a permanent retainer. It all cost $2000, just for those 2 teeth. I guess I'm glad I did it, but no one ever noticed those two bottom teeth...I did it before my wedding.

Re: Invisaline or not to Invisaline?
I have Invisaline and LOVE IT!!! I went about a year before my wedding to close the gap between my 2 front teeth and was told that I would have to wear them for 18 months. So on the day of my wedding the gap wasn't completly closed but it wasn't noticeable either.
No one even knows that I wear them, until I have to take them out to eat... They are wonderful but as with regular braces you will have some discomfort when beginning the treatment and every 2 weeks when you change them...
I definitely say they are a great investment because nothing makes you feel better than a perfect smile.
Hope this helps!

Thanks so much for your response. I can relate to your experience with smiling. How much did it cost? Wishful thinking, but, did your insurance cover any of it?

Re: Invisaline or not to Invisaline?
I just finished my program with Invisalign.... I just have to wait to get my retainer put in September but I loved using them. You see the changes happen and it doen't take that long. They were so easy to use and I liked the idea that I could take them out to clean them or to eat. I always wanted to get braces but at this stage in my life metal ones were out of the question. Because the cost I wasn't going to do the invisalign either but thank God my insurance helped and my DH convinced me. I was so happy to have straight teeth for the wedding!!!! I never really smiled showing teeth before and now I don't hide it.
My insurance covered $2000 of it and I think the total was $5400 for the trays, treatments, whitening and retainer.
I noticed you are in the Babylon area. The dentist I used is in West Islip.... in case your interested. (Plus your getting married at St. Joseph......I did too with Father Rich... its such a beautiful church!!!!!!)

I used something similar to Invisalign & I loved it!!!! It was a little less expensive, and worked so rapidly. I have a wonderful orthodontist, he is in Westbury & Glen Cove. Here is his website:

I just finished with it, it was really easy except having to run and brush your teeth at work every 5 minutes (i eat alot!). My insurance didnt cover it. If i had it to do all over again, i wouldnt have done it. My teeth werent that bad to begin with.

Re: Invisaline or not to Invisaline?
Did anyone pay for it on their own( no insurance help) and do they finace it , allow you to pay it off or it is all the money up front? I have a space (gap) in my teeth and I hate it and SOO want to do this.

Re: Invisaline or not to Invisaline?
I decided against the invisaline and got braces (my second time by the way) and I am so happy I did. My teeth came out great and I know I would not have been able to do the trays. When my retainer hurts I am such a baby and sometimes take it out. So...for me braces were better.
Good Luck!

I think it was around $3500. I just paid in 3 payments. He does offer financing through Capital One. Just note these 'braces' aren't for everyone. I was able to get them b/c I just wanted to fix a tooth that had been pushed foward from my wisdom teeth. It only took 3 months.

I opt'd to pay full upfront and get another 10 or 20% off (can't remember which).

Re: Invisaline or not to Invisaline?
I have the Delta Dental plan... the basic coverage does not cover it but their Plus plan does.
