INVITATION ADVICE!
I need your opinion ladies! So we went to a few invitations places and we narrowed it down to 2-3 invitations that we love. However, for 125 invites (includes response cards, envelope liners, envelopes etc), they were all prices around $1,000. Is that a lot or does that sound like the average price? I LOVE them but I know a lot of people end up throwing them out. I also don't want invitations that look cheesy or cheap. I looked online (weddingpaperdivas.com) and places like that but I didn't like any of them. What do you think???

Re: INVITATION ADVICE!
Yeah, that is a lot. I ordered 125 too and it cost me less than 1,000 and my invites were handmade and included all the printing of addresses on the envelopes and return addresses.

Re: INVITATION ADVICE!
do you really love them? then go for it. of course there is always cheaper but if they are exactly what you want and love then I say go for it.a lot of people do throw them out but some people don't. I still have wedding invitations from my cousins over the years saved in my dresser.

INVITATION ADVICE!
I personally wouldn't spend that much on invitations because I would rather use the money elsewhere. I have never saved a wedding invitation. Ultimately, it is your money & your wedding so I believe you should do whatever makes you happy.

INVITATION ADVICE!
Being that your wedding is about a year away I'd keep looking, no reason to jump in if you aren't completely sure...you may be able to find a better deal elsewhere.

INVITATION ADVICE!
I personally didn't want to spend a ton on invitations that will most likely end up in the garbage. That being said, I didn't look at prices but just picked what I liked at my invitation lady. I think the invitation I got is one of the more 'fancy' ones from the books I looked at, and I will be spending between 400-500 for 125 invitations.

That seems pricey to me. You can also check out etsy. You will find some really nice invitations for a reasonable price. I'm most likely using an etsy vendor. I will be getting 125 invites for $450 this inlcudes pocketfold, invitation layer, invitation envelope, reply envelope, 2 insert cards, and a ribbon/monogram band. It usually comes with 3 insert cards which is a little more but I only need 2 insert cards so that's how much I was quoted.

I personally would not spend that much on invites. I'm giving myself a budget of about $500 on invites. I don't think you really HAVE to spend more than that.
