Invitation and RSVP advice needed

Hello. How long before the wedding date do you mail out the invitations? How long before the wedding date do you make the RSVP date? Lastly, any of you fellow brides having the same issue I am ~ FH and I are lucky enough to have both of our families contributing to the wedding cost plus we have step-parents too! How did you word your invitations? I don't want to have to list all those names haha Thanks!!

Re: Invitation and RSVP advice needed

i sent my invites out a little over 2 months in advance, and we made the RSVP date for 1 month prior to the wedding.. that way we have time to chase people down if needed haha.

in terms of the wording, i did not have that issue. do you need to have all of the names? maybe you can just write together with our parents, your name and fh name, request the honor of your prescence, etc.

Invitation and RSVP advice needed

i had a thread on here where people helped with wording- we put all names but dont have any step parents. you may want to just put together with their families?

we are ordering our samples this week and then should place a final order in mid to late Feb-- 7 mo before wedding.

plan to send out 10 weeks prior, 'A' list RSVP is about 6 weeks prior, 'B' list rsvp will be 2-3 weeks prior.

Re: Invitation and RSVP advice needed

Fh parents are divorced so I wrote it like:

Mr & Mrs Stephen...,
Ms. Diane ... and Mr and Mrs George

Blah blah...

There is a picture in my album.

I mailed mine January 3 for a rsvp of February 10, wedding on March 16.

Invitation and RSVP advice needed

I am making the RSVP date 4 weeks before our wedding date. I will mail invitations out 9 weeks before the date of our wedding. This will give people a month to RSVP.

Invitation and RSVP advice needed

I want to make sure I mail mine out with enough time because we do have quite a bit of people coming from out of state. Does anyone know what the time frame is when you have OOT guests?

Re: Invitation and RSVP advice needed

I mailed mine out at the beginning of June and my wedding was in September. I had a lot of people from out of state coming so I wanted to make sure they had enough notice to make travel arrangements if needed. I had my RSVP date 1 month prior to the date of my wedding so I can hunt down non responders and make last minute invites if needed to meet my head count.

The wording, as some of the other posts stated '...together with our parents...' sounds appropriate.

Hope this helps.

I made sure all my OOT guests received a save the date 6 months before our wedding. That way they could plan ahead.
