Invitation fibbing
Are any of you lying about the ceremony start time on the invitation? One of my friends just did this so people are there on time.

I'm considering it because we're getting married at the venue and we're having a short & sweet ceremony. I want to roll right into the cocktail hour!
YES but our ceremony is at the venue and they host a 1/2 hr hospitality prior so that will start at the time we are putting (6pm, ceremony at 630)
I've often wondered this myself. My ceremony starts at 6:30 but i'm wondering if I should put down 6:15.
My ceremony starts at 6 but I am putting 5:30. My wedding is on a Friday so I'm worried that if input 6 people will be walking in as I'm walking down the aisle, I figure if I put 5:30 people who are running a little late will have a buffer zone.
Yes!!! My family is ALWAYS late to everything!!! Our ceremony starts at 12pm so I put 11:30am because I know they would never have made it on time haha
I'm putting 15 before.
I am going to send an email/text the regular late people because I didn't want to penalize guests who are always on time. If there is a hospitality hour I think that its ok to put 1/2 early.
We didn't. We put the actual time of our ceremony.
I just saw this now and I just approved my invites a few minutes ago. I put the actual time. Hopefully people aren't walking in to the church the same time as me.
Yes I am! My church ceremony starts at 3:15 and I'm putting 3:00 on the invitation...
I did 30 min before! lol
I did mine on time. my family is always early to everything. everyone else i don't even care about. If you want to see the ceremony you get there early to get a good seat. If not, you didn't care that much anyway. I will be starting on time and my family will be there to see it, that's all that matters. LOL
I'm getting married at the venue, so they recommended I put 30 minutes prior. If I were getting married in church I'd probably put the actual time.
I am getting married at a church and I put the actual time.
im getting married at church, my ceremony is at 3, i'm putting 2:30 in the hopes FH's family will show up on time. since my future mother in law is a terror!, she will likely show up after i walk down the isle...so 2:30 it is unfortunately......but it needs to be done, FH's family is LATE to EVERYTHING and when I say late, I mean 2-4 hours late on average, they have NO concept of time!!
I'm getting married at the venue and they suggested putting 1/2 hr earlier on the invites. They have a hospitality hour though.
I put 4:00 but told everyone that was the to,e the doors opened and neede dot be there so they knew not to get there too early and also know they would be waiting a little bit for me. It worked perfect bc my limo arrived and I was out the door and in the church right away. We didn't have to wait for people to arrive and sit
