We just ordered our invitations and they are pocketfolds and there will not be an inner envelope. So how did you address the outer envelope? Did you put 'and Guest' on it?? Because where else can you put it?

Yes, you put and guest on the outer envelope. If you know the guest's name (long time BF/GF or engaged) put the name.

yes you put and guest on the outer. I asked this question too since they say it should only go on the inner. But since invites are changing now and many have just an outer its ok to put and guest on the outer. I also didnt have an inner, well i dont even have an outer it was in a box so i put it on the outside of the box

well i would definitely put mr and mrs john doe, nd then you can write and family and either way is fine.
