I started looking for invitations and went to a few places. I found a few that I absolutely loved - gorgeous!!! And when I inquired about the price (for maybe 125-150 invitations) they told me it was about $2,200!
HOLY COW is all I have to say ...... anybody have suggestions on where to go/ some online sites to look at/ anything that's a little under $2,200! HA
Thanks!!

Re: Invitation Help?! Almost fell off my chair!!!
I found some on etsy that including all inserts and calligraphy I needed were just under $1k....even that seems a little high to me, so I'm trying to figure out my budget.
Check out my invitations thread, and if you want suggestions for shops just FM me! :)

Unfortunately if you like letterpress, embossing, or thermography, the price jumps and FAST!!

Re: Invitation Help?! Almost fell off my chair!!!
I personally refused to spend alot of money on our invites. I found a style I LOVED from a Bride's DIY kits at Michael's. I actually like the set I picked better then any of the others I saw from the usual vendors. I paid about $125.00 for 120 invites. If you find one you like, you could always jazz it up further with ribbons, crystals, etc.

exactly this. there is one letterpress company that let's you work directly with them called spark (google them). for 150 invites it's about $1400 but again it's letterpress and one of the most expensive printing methods but gorgeous.

I also did this, I found a kit at Michaels that was on sale for 19.99 per box of 40... and then when I got to the register, they were on clearance for 3.99 a box!! They even matched my venue colors with a little pearl and ribbon. Some of these invites are 3.99 per invitation! I have done layouts and design work in the past so I'm going to jazz it up a little
