I am doing DIY invitations and am not sure which shape stock to use. Does anyone know which size stock/envelopes cost the most to send out? For example, would a square invitation and envelope cost more than a longer rectangular one? Vice/Versa? Please help..I am broke and very confused!

Hmmm...i'm not sure about the differences between square/rectangular, etc. but I'm doing a 6.5' square and it is costing me $0.87 each to send. I think it also will depend a lot on the type of papers you use and how many inserts, etc.

Re: Invitation Postage
be careful how large your square is, you can only have a certain size before it gets really expensive.. I think you can cehck the size on usps.com

Re: Invitation Postage
Correct me if I am wrong...but I thought mail price went by weight??? My invite cost me 0.63 cents an envelope.

it's a pain in the butt. Of course i like square better so i'm always paying more. even when you buy a square (or other 'weird' shape) card from a card store it says in the corner 'additional postage required'

Re: Invitation Postage
thanks ladies. how funny would it be if i went to the post office with like 9 samples of invitations and asked them to explain the whole thing or give me an estimate for each invitation!
