INVITATION QUESTION...

i have a question...
when you order your invitations and order lined envelopes, which envelopes are typically lined-outside or inside?

Hi, The inner envelopes are lined and you place your invite, reception card, RSVP card and any other stuff in the lined envelope and then you put the lined envelope in the outer unlined one.....I know as I just did them.

really? okay...i thought they made a mistake...i just picked up my invites tonight and had a mini-meltdown...i thought the outer envelopes were suppposed to be lined as well..
i ordered lined envelopes and the inners were lined but i was freaking when i saw the outer envelopes!!!!

I thought it was the outer envelope that is lined.

So, when you pay extra for lined envelopes, it's the inner envelope that is getting lined and NOT the outer??? Is the outer available to be lined???

Hmmmm, I thought I read a post the other day of someone who was addressing envelopes via home computer and was concerned b/c the envelopes were lined.

Hi! It is the inner envelope that gets lined, the outer does not get lined since it is typically a larger envelope and is used for tucking the inner envelope along with the invite and all other cards into it. Don't freak out...the lining is for inner only.
