Invitation Question

I decided to make my own invites I'm SO excited and can't wait to finalize my layouts.

I plan on ordering double linen envelopes (so that I can have an inner and outer envelope) and with the size they come in I will need to make my invite 5 x 7.25 inches.

I made one invitation and my mom said that she loves the invite but that maybe the invite should be a little bigger. I think 5 x 7.25 inches is a good size but wanted to see what you girls thought. Is this size invite big enough?? - or would you go with my mom's opinion of having a bigger invite??
