I didnt realize you can put an earlier time on the invite. I just always figured you should put the actual time.

I think the real time is fine. That's what most people do I think.

Re: INVITATION TIME???
My ceremony starts at 2:30pm. Beginning at 2pm there is passed champagne, strawberries, etc. And there will be light music. So we put 2pm.
If you want to start promptly at 12pm, I'd say put 11:30am. People usually expect that half hour grace period. Just make sure you have access to the location earlier than 12pm.

Re: INVITATION TIME???
I am having 4 o'clock printed on my invitations, I'm starting the ceremony at 4:15. We're Latin....we tend to run late.
For the early/on time arrivals, we will have the quartet playing, that should entertain them.
Definitely pad the time...though I think half an hour is too much, I'd hate to wait that long...especially if I arrived 15 mins early.

Re: INVITATION TIME???
I'm putting the actual time on my invitations. I don't want people sitting around the church with nothing to do for half an hour or so.
I'm hoping my ceremony starts promptly at 3. If people are late, they're late. I'm certainly not going to worry about it as I'm walking down the aisle!

Re: INVITATION TIME???
No in my family or fh family is ever on time, but I am still going to put the real time, I do not want to offend anyone so if they are not there than we either start with out everyone there or we wait but I will be telling everyone how important it is to be on time for months before lol

Re: INVITATION TIME???
im putting 11:15 on mine and it starts at 11:30... my hall provides coffee and whatnot before the ceremony so why not? the hall actually told me to put 1/2 hr earlier but i thought that was too much
