Re: invitation wording
Hey, I'm not quite up to invitations yet, but I know etiquette sources suggest the following for a formal celebration:
The honor of your presence is requested at the marriage of BRIDE to GROOM Saturday, the seventeenth of May two thousand and eight at half past four in the afternoon
or
The pleasure of your company is requested at the marriage of BRIDE to GROOM Saturday, the seventeenth of May two thousand and eight at half past four in the afternoon
OR- for something more casual maybe something like:
BRIDE & GROOM invite you to their wedding Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 4:30 in the afternoon
or
BRIDE & GROOM invite you to share and celebrate at their wedding Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 4:30 in the afternoon
Hope this helps
