On the invitation it will say the usual Mr. H and Mrs invtie you to the marriage of their daughter blah blah blah but then after FH name his parents are divorced and both would like to be on the invite how do I word it? They both have the same last name but aren't married anymore...she kept his last name because she wanted to have the same name as her kids.

I believe for divorced parents you write the name seperately for example after FH name write : Mr. Matthew Johnson and Ms. Susy Johnson request the honor..........

I know its a little personal to ask but are they paying for the wedding? My FH and I are paying for it ourselves but thought it would still be nice to include our parents on the invites so we are going to do something like:
Vanessa and Glen together with their parents request the honor...

They aren't paying for the wedding..FH and I are...I'm torn because we are paying for it but would like to incorporate them on the invitation as well......I really like the wording with the parents of the bride first (even though they aren't paying) I like the fact that it states that they are giving me away...but FH parents are divorced and aren't that civil so I have to be careful with this one because they have the same last name but his father remarried.....?
That's tough. My FH's parents are still together, but my parents are divorced and my dad is remarried. Way too complicated! We've decided to nix mentioning any of them by name.

I'll be in this situation too... except FH's dad got remarried and his mom has no clue because she lives in Florida and FH and his brother didnt feel like it was their business to tell her. I'd like to see her reaction if I put all the names on the invitation. I guess that would be mean. We'll tell her somehow before then. Isn't that sooooo strange though?
