Invitations - I'm clueless!!
I know I need to start looking into invitations, but I really have no idea where to start. I want to spend as little as possible on them and I'm not opposed to attempting to making them a DIY project, but I'm wondering if there are any vendors you came across that have reasonably priced invitations? I don't need all the bells and whistles. I'm just looking for a simple & elegant invitation that doesn't look cheap.

Re: Invitations - I'm clueless!!
i don't really like the typical wedding invitations, so i'm most likely going to order mine from minted.com or wedding paper divas. they can be a bit expensive, but i am always getting coupons in my email for them!

Look at cardsandpockets.com if you aren't ruling out DIY. Very fair pricing if you ask me.

dyi. is your best way to go! it's so easy too! I got the kits from Michael for my parents anniversary party and have already found the invites we want to use from target. 50 invites for.$40 includes invite, response card and pocket fold. so I think I'll need about 100 invites so it will cost me less then $100David's bridal has cards but you have to order response cards separately making the cards more then $200 but if u don't want diy I would try them!

Invitations - I'm clueless!!
I just got my invitations in which I ordered from Davids Bridal and I love them! They came out perfect, simple but elegant, and definitely affordable. I signed up to receive email offers from them, figured out the invites I wanted and waited for a great coupon code, they had one where response cards were free and that took a chunk off the price. I ordered lots of free samples before deciding

Jessica Leigh Paperie works within your budget and she's great. Everything is custom made, so you can have them as simple or as extravagant as you want. She also does a lot of day of paper items.

There are so many websites you can probably get them on. My friend only spent about $300 on her invitations and they were on this really nice shimmery pearl cardstock with a nice lace outline in her themed color. I believe she got them at wedding paper divas.

I tried DIY once and the invitation just wouldn't work well with my printer and I ruined more then I did well enough to send. I would say look online....there are so many options and they are all looking to undercut each other's price. You definitely can find a great deal there with no hassel.

I would say look. I looked online for months. I went with birchcraft. I found what I wanted in person and then looked online. I paid around $300 for 250 invites w/out reception cards.

I priced a few people out and they seemed pricier then what I wanted to spend. Check out Vivian @ Lavender Letter. She works with all budgets. she is located in Dix Hills and shares space with Bridal Elegance.

Yea, if you go to the David's Bridal Invitations website, there's a box that says 'Sign Up for Special Offers', you put your email in there and they send you promo codes for different deals as they come up. I signed up for the emails like a year before the wedding and then just kept an eye on the promo codes and when I found one that saved me a lot of money, used that one (the one's for free response cards or half off both response and reception cards seemed to give me the most savings). I got a great deal and they came out gorgeous.
