Re: Invitations May 05 brides
I really like that one - very pretty!
Trying to get FH's list and addresses is not fun. I am at that point too!
He and I both like something with color. We tend to like a more modern look. We fell in love with some in an Encore book but they were quite costly.

I love the letterpress look. Is it more or less expensive then the other more traditional printing/engraving options?

letterpress is pricier...we'll see if i end up able to afford it.
just ordered a sample of engraved invitations from piccolo press last week, and they should be here soon. looking to make the decision and have them ordered within the next two weeks.

Re: Invitations May 05 brides
I ordered a few samples, but that's about it. I saw some celtic designs I like, but I'd like to feel the paper to make sure it's OK.
When do you think I should order invites to make sure I can send them in early March?
thanks!

It depends on where you order from. Some places take longer than other if your order is customized but I think 4-5 months is pretty standard.

finally picked our invites and they're not the ones above-those were just too too much $. the one we chose are the blue one-very plain and classic. nothing fancy, but i love them.

Re: Invitations May 05 brides
can we help you out? or maybe just finding the time is tough? maybe we can help narrow the field of invites? there are so many. i think its like looking for a dress, once you find something, try to stop looking, because you'll only find stuff you like and makes you crazy with wonder if you picked the right invite, is you theme going to work, how the whole wedding going to pull together...everything will be great!

Re: Invitations May 05 brides
I think there's always good intentions to 'get that stuff done' but then real life creeps in. I know that happens to us. We were supposed to go look at rings this past weekend. didn't happen...now pushed up to this weekend, as well as BM dress shopping. Then we have an invitation appt. on the 16th!
Where possible, try to make an appt and actually schedule this stuff into your life, rather than say 'we'll do it then'...mark it on your calendar then cross it off when it's done. that helps me a little.
Oh and I'm a newbie to theese forums! Getting married 05/20/05 :) little over 6 months...can't believe it's going so fast!

Re: Invitations May 05 brides
i had to go with my second choice. the first would have been a dream come true, but it was just too much money. they are a lot of money though. i guess as far as ordering online, make sure to get samples and that'll help maken decisions.
