Have you ladies started looking at invitations? This is our next 'to do' - any vendor suggestions?

evening ladies I have a question my dress is either a champagne or a mocha, the B/m dresses a soft pink, and people have said to me or you are having an antique wedding old European ... so do you ladies think I should have invites that imitate or are similar to the colors I picked?

those are really pretty! i love the black and white. they make a very formal statement!

We actually finalized our invites today. I'm crazy in love with the invites made by Inviting Company but they were way too expensive, and I just couldn't justify the cost, for the number we needed. (I did Inviting Company invites for our engagement party, but we only needed 25!)
So, we went with Birchcraft.... it's the 7X7 invite, which is underneath the front one shown here. Pretty reasonable and I liked the paper quality and the simplicity of the invite.
We'll be attaching a sage ribbon, to match the sage writing and the sage interior of the envelope.

i started the process of ordering today...phew it was kinda tough for me to get the wording right...my folks are divorced and remarried, my mother several times, so it was tricky for me with names and whatnot...but DONE. can't wait to get them, i'm feeling so official!!!!

LOVING the invite you chose Melissa! i really dig square ones for some reason! and yours is very classy! and i'm guessing sage is one of your colors which will be cool that it all ties together.

Melissa, your invite is lovely! Congrats!
And Christian, congrats on getting your invites done. I am so envious!! We have decided to go with the nautical compass invite from that Australian company. We won't make a final decision until we see the full cost, but we picked a layout that should save us a little money and have initiated the design process with them. I am so excited!

I'm thinking about mailing them around March 15. I have waaaay too many people, so I'm hoping for early 'no's so I can invite the B-list.
However, I can't even order invites until we set a final time with the church.

I just put my RSVP date as May 6, two weeks and a day from the wedding, so I'll proly send them around March 11. Thinking of how I have to get them addressed, I'm glad I finally got them ordered! everything is coming up so soon! i'm sure you all feel the same way!

I think i finally found my invitations! well at least someone who is willing to make them for me!
This is a sample pic, but it will be based around my colors of light blue and black.
