Is it possible to find nice invitations on a budget of $600? I need around 200 invites. I have not started looking at all yet so I have no idea what invitations cost.

That could get hard with all the inserts...I am doing a lot of looking right now and you will have to go with the low end budget invites, but even those can get pricey for 200 invitations..check online that is where you will find them the cheapest!

Yes, it's possible. It depends on how many you need. If you need 180, you'd have to have you're invites cost about $2.50 each. If you need less, you could spend a little more. There are several websites online where you can browse prices and ideas. They don't have to be expensive to look nice.

I will be going to a local printer that does wedding invites. They tend to be better for lower budgets. At least from what I have seen.

Re: Invitations on a budget
I went to Party City, found ones we liked (we had major issues because of all the parent names on the invite), I took down the item number and did a search online for them cheaper. We got 150 invitations for about $300...RSVP card, reception card, lined envelope, printed return address, and printed RSVP envelope.

I got my invitations online for cheap. I have a great calligrapher as well! She was not expensive either. I loved her and she communicated very well which is important to me!

About roughly how much did you spend, and for how many invites?

I am using My Custom Wedding Shoppe also!
Just checking, you need 200 invites? So you have close to 400 guests? Because if you have 200 people, you could definitely get what you need within your budget.

We didn't do pocket folds, we did standard invitations that had a similar design on them to our STD's and toasting flutes. We didn't want to spend a lot of money on the invitations, but after polling all of our friends, the only thing they do with it is return the RSVP card, and keep the directions. I honestly cannot remember ANY invitation that I received to a wedding so we figured we would still get an elegant invite, but not spend as much.
Here's an ok picture of it. It was white on white. We needed a large area to write the information becasue all parents were getting put on the invitation and all parents are divorced and remarried!

That's great. Did you print these by yourself? I don't want to spend a lot on invitations, either. I honestly cannot remember ANY wedding invitation that I've received.

Nope, I found them in party city, then searched online for a cheaper company (they were located, I believe out in the midwest someplace) and did everything online. They were shipped to my house with no issues at all!
