Invitations Timeline

I know this has been asked but I can't seem to find any of the posts right now.

How far in advnace do you send invites and when is the rsvp date?

We are brining some stuff from Ecuador and so would need to know whose coming at least a month before the wedding.

My Wedding is on April 2nd. I want to send them about about jan 15th and give an rsvp date of feb 22nd? (that way I have an extra week to contact the people who forget to rsvp and still have my month notice.)

Does that sound ok?

it sounds a bit ahead of time but its not so bad and if you need the extra time go for it!!

I am thinking on sending them out about 3 months in advance. Not sure about the RSVP yet. I have to look at my calandar.

if that's the time that you need, then i don't think it's a problem. i think normally people do it a little later.

I was actually wondering about this too. I was thinking of sending mine about 4 months in advance for 2 reasons.

1. It is a holiday weekend and even though we are
sending save the dates, I thought the earlier the better?

2. I have about 40 people on my B list that I sincerely want to invite and only can if I get rejections. I don't want the B list people to get the invite last minute and get insulted. (we have HUGE families that are causing us to cut a lot of friends )

So I think you are fine

I think that if you already sent STD's then that might be too much time in advance.

My only concern would be that people would think that since the wedding is in April they will put the invites aside and forget to respond right away.
(I'm guilty of doing this once!)
