just found out that 3 of FI's aunts have decided to leave their spouses home and bring their kids instead!!!!!!! we do not want kids at the wedding!!!!
and on top of everything else, his 1 aunt had the balls to call here and ask if we can invite her other child, since she is already bringing the other one as her guest.
what the heck is wrong with people?????

thats not right.... its simple enough to call and tell them that no kids are invited(plus the invitee was to the aunt and uncle not aunt and cousin

it's so hard - i don't want to start a whole family war - plus the kids are in the 14-17 age range so they are kinda adults. i'm more annoyed that we have to extend an additional invite so that 1 kid doesn't feel left out!!!

OMG...what is going on? I would put my foot down (or at least try to)...and tell them no they are not allowed to do this.

You need to tell them how you feel. 'I'm terrible sorry, but we are not having any children at the wedding. I hope you can understand.' Its hard, I would hate to have to do it, but you have to stick to your guns or everyone else with children will be wondering why theres wasnt invited, not knowing the detail of the situation.
