Invite Etiquette

So when it's a number street like 2nd st , i was originally just doing

2nd Street

but should it be

Second Street?

And what about apartment, should you abbreviate apt or write out apartment #2

helpppp

Re: Invite Etiquette

i think you should spell out the street if its a number... and the apartment number should remain a number and i would judge to abbreviate based on the amount of room on the envelope

I would spell out the street number, I think it looks like too many numbers if you have....

142 82nd Street...apt 3

IMO, 142 Eighty-Second Street, Apt 3 looks the best.....

Re: Invite Etiquette

Any number below ten gets spelled out. And any number above ten you leave as the number.

Crashing...90% of the time you should be fine, but ultimately it depends on the PO. I had an invitation get returned to me two weeks later that went to a numbered street in Brooklyn, but it was a verified correct address. I sent it back out in a new envelope with it numbered 81st instead, and it has yet to come back to me so it seems that particular PO won't deliver them written out...but my other 3-4 numbered addresses throughout LI and Queens arrived fine

ahhhh so then what do i do???? maybe i should avoid the hassle and just keep the numbered streets as numbers? or will that look dumb?
