Believe it or not I think that invitations have been the hardest choice for me so far. I just can't seem to find one that I love and that is within my price range. Today I found one that I fell in love with, but cannot stomach paying 1300 for!!! If possible can you please post your invites, along with where you got them to give me some guidance!
TIA

Re: INVITE HELP
My invite is in my community album. I've seen it in so many places (wedding catalogs, too!).

Mine are pretty plain, but I didn't really care for fancy invites. I just wanted easy and cheap, like real cheap. $263 soup to nuts. 150 invites. Actually maybe I ordered 175, because I have a LOT left over.

Mine are similar, they have an indentation around the border and a slightly different script font for the names.
I paid $1.90 per invitation set at Party City. I ordered them because they were having a big sale (I was going to wait until around now). They made a mistake iwth them and fixed them within 3 days.
We got ours at Long Island Wedding Planners and we did pay more than I wanted to for it, but it was the ONLY place I could find one that I liked!! It's very simple, 7 x 7 square and ivory with a crest at the top that we added. The paper is textured, almost rice paperish....Sorry, I don't have a pic....

Re: INVITE HELP
I say that if you love the expensive ones go for it. Invites set the tone for the wedding and we got tons of complements. I spent a lot on invites but it was easy to find other places where I could save some $$. I have no regrets spending a lot on invites.

Re: INVITE HELP
Thanks Girls,
I definitely want something simple, however, I am a sucker for bows. It's a Christmas wedding so I was thinking of integrating some red. I keep looking and looking, and I either can't afford them or hate them!

have you looked at checkerboard and b.t. elements? we used them for our stds and invitations and both had bows available, although that was not what we chose. very simple in style. affordable, too!
