Invite help - how to write year?

Hi Ladies,
When you are figuring out the wording for the invitations, is it proper to say:

Two thousand eleven

Two thousand and eleven

Twenty eleven

I think it might be the first one, but I want to be 100% before going forward.

Thanks!

I'm putting two thousand and eleven. I think it's proper etiquette so spell out the year.

i have seen invites that say:

two thousand and eight
or two thousand and nine
etc.

but technically (mathematically speaking) the word 'and' represents a decimal.

so i dunno, is it tradition to include the 'and'? because ive never seen it done otherwise (even though its wrong)!
