Invite list

Hi girls,

What is the average percentage of people who decline? I am inviting 220 but I really can only afford 170 and our list is bare bones - we cut a ton of people and can't cut anymore.

Anyone have the answer? I heard from friends that the Deacon at their church said 25-30% and they said that was about right.

My friend invited 260 and about 195-200 came to the wedding but hers was in August (lots of people taking vacation). Since you are having it in November, I would say less than 25% would say no - but I am not sure. Ask your banquet manager, they can usually give an idea.

Marcella - you are tooooo funny!!!! I'm hoping that at least 25% don't show. I don't see half these people anyway so I'd be perfectly happy if they didn't come.

Don't you wish you could pick and choose who would come to your wedding?????

we invited 225 and are hoping for 150!!!!!!!!!! So I am scared. So far we have 114 coming, and about 70 up in the air!!!!

Christy - What did you guarantee at FF? If you don't make the guaranteed # maybe they can include your vendors. I'm sure they will work with you!

I'm paying for the wedding myself b/c FH is buying the house (I'm so making out on this deal) but even if I leave myself $40 a week I'm just covering 160 people tops so I'm hoping for a ton of declines! Actually, as long as the Florida group stays in Florida I'll be ok.

Oh, won't be starting Curves until the w/o March 17th - I'll FM you.

I'm telling you... It's sad but there are those certain family or close friends of the family that you MUST invite and although you havea gut feeling that they won't show, you still have that 1% chance of them saying yes. you know?

I may lie about the cost of the hotel rooms to defer them from coming ..... is that bad??????

i am glad i am not the only one - doesn't it **** that you have to invtie certian people just because you are related to them and that inevitably other people you'd rather have come may get cut....my fi and i were just talking about that

We just finalized the list and we're inviting 203 - there are about 25 that I don't want there and really hope don't come.

But, the ones you don't want to come do and the ones you really want to come don't.

Makes me so mad

I really only want 125-130ppl at the most. We will invite about 150.

This really s*uc*cks. I cut out some ppl that I really wanted just to invite certain family I really could care less if they were there.

I want ALOT OF NO's! lol our list has gotten ridiculous!!!! like I said,, todd and I will be washing dishes at the Grand Prospect Hall.. come down and watch this bride wash em in her wedding dress! lol
