So what is the proper punctuation for your invites like where commas go and what first letter do i capitalize and does this change if i have things on different lines that the standard format. (ie. if normally the start of a word wouldnt be capped, does it change to caps if for some reason that word is on the start of a line)
Also, what are you guys doing with names? I see so many different variations
I know this is old school but i kinda was liking
Miss. Lorin Rachel (no girl last name) to Mr. Adolfo Soto (guy last name included) (my fh doesnt have a middle name)
Id like to know what you girls are doing though. Thanks!!!

I think so. But I'm not sure. The wording for the names sounds fine, though I plan to include my last name in it.

microsoft word automatically starts every sentence with a capital letter if you hit enter to get to the next line... but it shouldnt be that way for an invitation... at least that is what ive gathered from every invitation website ive seen
ETA: were doing first and middle names... i think its fine if you put his last name if he doesnt have a middle.... i think it might look strange if you had first and middle and he only had first.

Not sure about the whole punctuation thing, because I can't look up my invite right now. But as far as names we are doing first name and last name for both of us, no middle names and no Mr or Miss

Hmmm, I've always seen it the opposite. Every line starts with a capital. I guess it could go either way. You're not going to get struck by lightning if you don't have every line capitalized properly.

this is what i would do... like the names should be capital, the day of the week, the name of the church, city and state...
every thing else is lower case

I think Miss is any woman who has never been married
Ms. is a woman who has been married and divorced
I could be wrong though

I always thought Ms. was for adults and Miss was for youngsters.

Re: Invite punctuation and caps help plzz
So I looked up some stuff and after looking at a few different explanations, it seems that since we are hosting and parents names are not included, that both his and my last name should be included. So well do this. Then I think it seems like if we were to include a title, it should stay as Miss rather than Ms since in some situations on invites, that implies that the bride was once married. Thanks everyone!

i did a google search and youre right, Ms is used for divorced women who can no longer be considered a Mrs... but its also used for women who have never been married... i get letters adressed to me as Ms all the time... most of the answers i saw were based on the persons preference...

Re: Invite punctuation and caps help plzz
I was really confused about the capitalization of everything. On some of the proofs that I got everything was in caps lock. I think the invite Laura posted looks great and correct in that aspect.
