Invite question

If someone already said they cannot come to the wedding, do you still send them an invite? Or would that just seem as though you are asking for a gift?

oh yes. my cousin will be giving birth in May and my wedding is in June. She lives in CA so she definitely won't be able to fly with a new born. But I still sent her an STD and will be sending her an invite. It's just polite.

Yes to still send an invite, or yes it will seem like we're asking for a gift?

i don't think you should send them an invite then. i think it could be interpreted as you looking for a gift.

i would still send them an invite, their plans may change from now until then and they may be able to make it

Things change. Just because someone says they can't make it, doesn't mean their plans won't change to enable them to attend. Definitely send an invite.

Thank you ladies for your opinions - I think we'll still send invites to the these people.

Ditto. I'm sending invites to people out of country who can't make it.
