This has started some drama so I figured I'd ask my girls -
Did you or will you be inviting your sibling's in-laws, i.e. your brother's wife's parents?
TIA

Re: Invite question
I would only invite them if you are close to them and you want to invite them
I invited my sisters FIL's, but I've known them for about 10 years and I like them, plus I was inviting my sisters FH's brother and sister, so it was just fitting to invite them also

Re: Invite question
I invited my sister's mother and father-in-law (aka BIL's parents) and they came. I did it mainly because I knew they'd entertain my nephews

Re: Invite question
Nope..I am one of 6 kids and they are all married..It would get to be alot more people and I wanted to keep the number small.. I am only close to my sibs hubbys and wives, so that is all I needed to celebrate my day...

Re: Invite question
I did. We are fairly close to them. Plus my neice was in the bridal party and my nephew was only a few weeks old at this point.

Re: Invite question
Not a chance in hell.
Well actually... we invited my sister's boyfriend's parents but not his brother's wife's parents. We've only met them once (at their wedding) and just felt like it wasn't necessary. My sister's boyfriend's parents are super nice and I see them all of the time.

Re: Invite question
So.....it seems the general consensus is that you invite them if you are close to them.
Thanks ladies

Re: Invite question
I don't have those yet, but how about this:
I had to invite FH's cousin's husband's parents. They're not coming

Re: Invite question
Only the ones we have a relationship with.. and my SIL's parents are amazing!!
But I KNOW it'll cause a huge problem with my other SIL and Brother (who have already pulled their kids from my wedding party cause SHE wasn't asked to be in it...)
So when they see my SIL's parents at the wedding... they'll flip that her mom wasn't asked... (and we're not asking my BIL's mom either!).
But I'm currently in the mind frame of F You to anyone who doesn't like what I'm doing!!
