Invite question-

If I am inviting Mr. john smith, Mrs. Jane smith, and their kids bill, bob, and ted,
What do I put on the outer envelope and what do I put on the inner envelope?

Re: Invite question-

I put Mr. and Mrs. John Smith and Family on the outer, and the inner had all of their first names..

Re: Invite question-

I did:

Mr. & Mrs. John Smith and Family
for the outer

and

Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Bill, Bob and Ted
on the inner.

I think Mistyeyed's way is fine too...either way.

Re: Invite question-

Martha Stewart weddings - current issue - has a PERFECT guide to addressing invites

Re: Invite question-

I agree - the latest issue of martha stewart if a lifesaver! Everyone should get it (even if you don't agree with some of the choices she's made.....)

Re: Invite question-

I would go kellys way...for a bit more formality

all first names are ok...but less formal

Re: Invite question-

On outer, I think we did
The Smith Family

Inner, however we address them. If Aunt and Uncle, we put
Aunt Mary and Uncle Tom
Cousin1, Cousin2, Cousin3

If we always called them Mr. and Mrs. Smith, we put
Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Cousin1, Cousin2, Cousin3
