Invite Question- B List
Hey Ladies,so my parents are paying for the wedding, and as a result, the guest list was largely controlled by them. i had wanted to invite a few girls i am close with at work, but had to cut them due to costs.
our RSVP cutoff date was yesterday, and we had more nos than expected-- so i am now able to invite my work friends if i want.
do you think they will be offended if I invite them now, only 1 month before my wedding? I thought of explaining to them i really wanted to invite them, but wasn't able to due to my parents being crazy-- but i am afraid that will be offensive. thoughts on how to handle this?
please help!

Invite Question- B List
I don't see why anyone would be/should be offended by you telling them the truth. Weddings are expensive and sonetimes you have to make cuts somewhere. Personally I wouldn't be offended if I was invited late & the bride explained the situation to me.

I agree. I invited a few old friends just a few weeks ago and they were so excited!

I'm definitely going to be inviting more people after I hear back from family. I think people do understand.

Invite Question- B List
Do they know that invites were already sent out? If not, there's no need to explain anything. Just hand them their invites and if they ask, tell them you were running a little behind on invitations.

I think the RSVP date may give it away.

A lot of people who know they will have an A list and a B list get two sets of RSVPs printed up with two different RSVP dates. That's what I did.
