not that its about budget really, bc god knows i havent hit my budget yet, i just keep going over, lets be serious, weddings are expensive
whats everyone thoughts on invite budgets? splurge? save?

honestly I love HER stuff but I think 750 is a lot for invitations that no one remembers.

Re: invite stress
I totally understand what you are saying. I got my preliminary invitation from her, she did EXACTLY what I asked for, but I wasn't floored. So I said to my FH, 'Do you like them?' to which he said, 'Yea, I like them.' So I said, 'Well, what can we do to them to make you love them??' to which he said, 'Ash...they're just an invitation. Paper. I won't ever love them.'
That kind of knocked some sense into me, but I TOTALLY see what you are saying. I honestly don't think you should break the bank on invitations, but if you aren't happy with them, maybe see if she can add a little more to them? Can we see them???
ETA: Nevermind, I just saw them in your album. I like them a lot!

Re: invite stress
Im working with her also. I have my preliminary design in an album, if you want to check it out. I absolutely fell in love with my invite, and it is actually totally under what I planned on spending. I think its crazy to spend so much money on invitations!! Thats why I chose to do the Layered invite rather than the pocketfold. I think you can cut some corners and lower the price, but its up to you what you are willing to give up! Good luck!

Re: invite stress
i hear ya! i don't think i can bring myself to pay $$$ for a piece of paper that people will throw away. i want something nice, but not something that's going to break the bank. i haven't started the process yet, but i can't see spending over $500 on invites

Re: invite stress
Personally I decided to DIY and save $ on the invites. Pics are in my album. If you love them I'd say go for it, but if you dont maybe you should keep looking and try to save some money?

From someone who doesn't know who her is but did see ur invite and think its beautiful. I would try to save. I have been to many weddings and still they are only paper. I haven't looked for invited myself yet bc we still can't even decide on colors lol. But especially if you don't love them. Try to save and spend or splurge on something you absolutely must have.

Re: invite stress
This is one area where we aren't really splurging too much. Yes, we could find a little cheaper but the ones we found are under the budget we had set for invites so we are happy. I am also not officially placing an order for them until I get a great discount code to use to make them even less expensive.

Re: invite stress
I am one of those people who can just not justify spending lots of $ on invites. I know all of the invites I've gotten, I open, note the date, stick on the fridge, never look at them and then throw them away. I just can't see spending so much on something people will throw away. I got a DIY kit from Michaels and I actually really like them! Its definitely a personal decision, but if you don't LOVE them then I wouldn't spend $$ on them.
