I have to order my invites this week (AAAHHH) and my guest list indicates that I have to send out 80 invites, but I'm thinking there may be a few I have to send out to family that live in DR who are not coming - maybe 5-10 more?
That said, should I order the 100 or go up to 125 just in case. I'd hate to spend the extra money and not have any use for the extra invites.
Another question, if I stick to the 100, I'll need extra envelopes, correct? I'm planning on printing them myself.

Order 125!!!!!!!!!!! I made the mistake of not ordering extra and paid for it in the end! I had miscsalculated and paid through the noose for it! you will also want one for photographer, one for you to keep, etc. If it is oin your budget definitely do 125! You will not regret it!

order more! We had over-ordered and thankfully we did. Between last minute invites, the early no RSVPs that let us invite others, mistakes on envelopes etc, you may need them.
As for extras I know my FMIL has hers in a frame, maybe you can do something like that for your family

I ordered 125! and an extra 10 outer & 10 inner envelopes!!!!

It sounds like you should order 125. It sounds like a good idea, just in case.
If you ordered 100, how hard would it be to order the extras and at what cost???

i posed the same question about a month ago. our invite # was around 90 and i decided to save myself the agravation and order 125 upfront.

ORDER THE 125! We originally thought we would need to send out 85 invites so we got the 125 well by the time the list went to the caligraphers we were up to almost 97 invites - well FMIL screwed up some addresses and then we had ALMOST her entire side say NO so we wanted to invite more people but we ran OUT of invites and I had to invite people without invites since it would have taken too long to get new ones etc - which I hated doing

I did not order enough I was planning on sending out 80 invites and I have 1 left for us, my parents, his parents, my grandmothers and his grandparetns and his brother and sister all didnt get an invite b/c I didnt have enough. I also sent one invite to families when I know the children were suppose to get there own, but I didnt have a choice. We ended up rushing an order of extra evelopes b/c we also printed them ourselves. I would definitly order 125 and even 25 extra envelopes. If you have extra invites at the end take out the reception card and response card and just give the invitation to people you would like to attend to the church.

I ordered 125 and I am glad. I thought I was only going to need 75 or 80 invitations and then FH's parents told us they wanted to send to people they know will not come, just as a courtesy and then went one step further and said they want to send the main invitation (just church information) to another 14 people to serve as an announcement (according to FH's parents, in Poland the church invitation serves as an announcement to friends who are not being invited to the reception and they usually come to the church and bring flowers to the bride)
I am glad I ordered the 125. The price difference was so much less than ordering an additional 25 separately
