Inviting FH's friends g'fs to the Shower??? (09 board)

I wrote this on the 09 Board but I'm so torn I would love to get other peoples opinions...

So FH has some friends that have girlfriends/wives. We hang out a decent amount in a group/dinners and I am friendly with them. However, I do not hang out with them individually and I am not close with them. Does anyone else have a situation like this and are you going to invite them to the shower? Thanks in advance.

I have a similar situation and I'd still invite them. Most of these wives husbands are in the bridal party, so I wouldn't exclude them.

I would. You can get closer to them just because you invited them, plus they might consider you a friend for just hanging out with them even when fh is around.

I think it depends. Personally, I am not. I am not close with the wives of FH friends and havent been to their showers.

my FMIL let me know that she will be inviting all the girls who are invited to the wedding. She does not want peoples feelings to get hurt.

I am. We all hang out enough, some I am closer to than others, BUT I would not want anyone to feel left out if I invite some and not the others. Plus, I have been invited to many of theirs.

We just had a shower for my sister and she only invited her close friends and family. I think only the GF of the best man was invited, not the wives and GFs of any of his other friends.

One thing to consider is cost to your BP if they are paying. How much do all those extra people add up to?

But check with FH about what he thinks. I think it is kind of none or all of them.
