Ionic hair dryers, are they worth it?

Do any of you have it? Do you really like it? When I was at the Sephora in Americana on Friday they were telling me all about it.

Tourmaline II Ionic Hair Dryer

Infused with 100 percent tourmaline jewels (the world's most potent ionic mineral), T3 Dryer and Diffuser deliver maximum negative ions and infrared heat. This means lightning fast drying and healthier, shinier, deeply moisturized hair. An entirely new approach to blow drying, the T3 guarantees frizz-free results every time.

Other benefits include:
-Breaks down water for deep moisture penetration
-Smoothes hair surface for silky-smooth shine
-Eliminates static
-Delivers heat gently to the hair shaft, drying the hair from the inside out
-Closes the cuticle layer to protect the hair

Special features:
-1800-watt power
-13 oz lightweight, efficient design
-dries up to 60% faster than conventional dryers
-delivers the most ionic and infrared benefits of any dryer

I have one. Honestly, I just bought it because I like a lot of power. I usually don't even turn the ion thing on.

I have an ION drier and naturally curly hair. When i straightner my hair is when i notice the difference - with the ION on there is definetly less 'fly aways'.

I don't notice a difference and I've only tried the ion thing once or twice.

I just got the Conair hair dryer last year - my hair is normally very dry and lots of fly aways during the winter, but I really noticed the difference with the ion dryer. I also have very thin stick-straight hair, so maybe it just works better on certain types of hair? I love mine though, and when I bought new rollers after cutting my hair, I got the Conair Ion rollers too

How much was the Conair one? This one is $200. My stylist used one and I really liked it.

Oh my!! I got a Remington Ionic one for $15 at Walmart.
Not liking it too much only because it doesn't blow very hard. (tee hee)

I notice a difference! I got mine at BBB for like $30!
