I'm debating whether or not we should have a 2nd photographer. Any thoughts? Is it worth it?

Check out Lanikai's (sp?) photos. I think the shots of when they see each other for the first time makes it all worth it.

Two photographers is the only way our photographer shoots....I personally think it's the only way to get AMAZING shots. So yes, I think it's totally worth it!

I DEFINITELY think it's worth it. If we didn't have a second photographer, I wouldn't have half the pictures I do.

I believe it is.....you want as many pics as possible and its good to get different perspectives too

I don't think its worth it.. IF you get a really good photographer its really not necessary. I am using One Thousand Words & they are AWSOME !! check out some of there work they are a vendor here. Good Luck

i definitely think its worth it...alot of photographers are giving two for most packages...you may want to look around for a few.....its definitely worth it because they are more shots taken at different times and different angles...also more creativity when choosing and making your photo album!!!

I agree. When I met with my photographer he showed me a few pictures where both photographers capture the same moment but had different shots. Also, he showed me how one photographer focused on the bride and groom while the other photographer was able to focus on the guests and bridal party. If you can afford it I would consider two.

Didn't have it and my pics were great. I think it's a way of photography companies to beef up their package and charge you more money. JMO
I had one photographer, one lighting asst and one asst that set up the formal shots.
Six eyes looking for all the great shots of the day.
One photographer who got everything perfectly.

I think it is worth it. They capture something else, or the same picture with a different take.

Yep I think so--we had two (one mainly did traditional and the other photojournalist) plus the lighting asst also took some pics so at times, we had three!

Yeah, I think you should definitely need two photographers to get good coverage.

I don't think you need two, but I do think that if you can afford it, it's worth the extra expense.
A single photographer can certainly get all the important shots, and give you great photos, but when you have two photographers, they are able to get shots of things that one photographer can't.
For example, 1 photographer can either get the expression on your face when you see FH for the first time, or his when he sees you. 2 photographers can get both. That's what makes it worthwhile to me.

We're having not only 2 photographers, but 2 videographers. For us, it will definitely be worth it because if the timing (and weather) goes correctly, FH and his best man will be getting off a boat at the ceremony site, while I will be exiting a horse & carriage. There is NO way to capture both those shots with only one photographer or one videographer.
Before we made these decisions about our arrival, we had booked 2 photographers to make sure we captured his expression when he saw me for the first time, and my expresion when I see him for the first time. The way our ceremony is set up, we will also be able to get front and rear shots during the ceremony itself - something that cannot be done with only one photographer.

Thats what all my married friends are telling me to do .so i think i am going to do it ...especially when at one of my friends wedding the photographer was taking funny pics of us outside the wedding and the party was going on inside ?????? so I would.ki89
