Is a trip to Kleinfeld's worth it????

If you haven't gone do you plan to? And for the girls who made the trip did you feel like it was worth it? Or did you feel like it was like any other bridal shop?

I've heard mixed reviews...

they wont even show u the 10k dresses. they ask u what ur budget is and they dont let u even look at anyting thats not in your budget.. i understand why... but in my case i told them i dont have a budget. i would LOVE to find something in the 2k range , but if i saw a gown that was 8k the pricetag wouldnt stop me.

welll i had to BEG to try on a pnina. sorry to me thats messed up. a customer shouldnt BEG to try on anything. it should be the other way around.

yeah thats true...but i would want to try on pnina dresses too--i love her gowns..esp the one that was on 'say yes to the dress' the one where the girl bought the used dress...i thought that girl was crazy though, seriously if im spending 12K on a dress best believe it's not gonna be used!

YES!!!! It's definitely worth it. I got my dress there. Everyone was super nice and very attentive. I personally loved it and Kleinfeld's was actually only bridal store I visited. So I think is worth it t least for the experience.

I never made it there, I went to Wedding Salon of Manhasset, which has a lot of the same dresses as Kleinfeld, which is more intimate and personal. I knew the first time I walked in there that it was the place for me..

BUT if you want the Kleinfeld experience you should go for it!

I didn't bother. There are tons of bridal shops out here on the island. And remember, it's not just one trip. If you end up ordering your gown there, it's several trips b/c you have to go there for your fittings too (unless you decide to have it altered elsewhere). For me, it was just too inconvenient.

yea i agree....i was going to go but found my dress at bergdoff goodman b4 even makign it there...but we decided to not even order from BG b/c it would be very difficult for me to go into the city for alterations.

I have an appointment for August 22nd. Watching Say Yes to the Dress made me want to go! I just want to go for 'the experience' but I am a little afraid I am going to be overwhelmed/pressured.

i totally agree with you!!! I went there and they were SUPER pushy telling me 'if you dont get this dress it WONT be here when you get back.. meanwhile i didnt even really like the dress. they put me in this room and said 'what style do you like' and she came back with like 4 dresses, i hated them all and was annoyed that she had to go get me new ones. she wouldnt let me walk around and look at anything. she was so nasty and i was so uncomfortable. then i told her i would up my budget and shes like 'ohh well you will have to come back'

I have heard that people had good experiences but that just turned me off.

I did it with my mom more for the experience and to say we went but honestly speaking it ******. The woman I had was awful and kept bringing me stuff I hated and was simply not listening. I ended up meeting Randy and he brought over a dress that was so not what I wanted. I ended up feeling really disappointed...but all is well I found the one and couldn't be happier.

I am going for the experince and keeping an open mind. I think it will be fun and maybe they will pick me for next season say yes to the dress!

I dont think it hurts to try on dresses.

I guess I'm kind of surprised to hear this because I really enjoyed my Kleinfeld's appointment. But there is SO much to choose from - I showed my bridal consultant the dresses I was interested in and she actually brought me into the dress room and showed me where those designers were and let me pull the dresses I liked. I actually wished she had pulled more herself. I've also gone with many of my friends and we all agree that its a great place to start. Have fun!!
