Is any age too young for a ring bearer

My cousin's baby is going to be 2 years old. Is it insane for me to want him to be the ring bearer? My FH seems to think so. Please weigh in!

I think it's fine just be prepared for his to possibly not walk down the aisle

I think 2 is too young. I think 4 would be my minimum- maybe 3.

Nope... my nephew who will be my ring bearer will be only 1 and a half. He walks perfectly now, so I think he will be fine. I think I may have him pulled out by my mom in a wagon, but not entirely sure.

I think it will be cute ... just expect someone to have to carry them down. My 2 year old neice is going to be a flower girl!

my RB will be 5 and my FG will be 3...they will be take home by their nanny after the ceremony.

ETA: we are taking pics before bc we are getting married at our RH so they will be there for all of that.

Thanks ladies for your input. FH and I got in a full blown arument about this yesterday. lol.

I realize that the ring bearer wouldn't necessarily make it down the aisle, but I'm ok with that.

FH is not.

Oh well. I tried.

We are having my three year old cousin be the flower girl though. I just don't understand why he's ok with that and not ok with the 2 year old. They are really equivalent in their ability to walk down the aisle.

Our ring bearer will be just about 3 when he walks down the aisle. His sister is the flower girl, so we're just going to have them walk hand in hand down the aisle.

It should be fine, honestly for a 2 year old, maybe have him accompanied with the flower girl?

I don't think it's young... he can be pushed down in a decorated little red wagon.......

fsil is pregnant right now and we decided that his 1st nephew (who will be 2 in jan) and this next baby will both be in the wedding

my nephew is 5 now so I found a really adorable old firetruck pull cart that will have my nephew pulling the 2 younger kids in the fire truck down the aisle

Its perfectly fine. He will need to be escorted and should not be forced to walk of he refuses. And don't give him the real rings, just have him hold a pillow or whatever with fake rings.

my nephew is going to be 2 years old at the wedding and he is one of our RBs. I could not imagine him not being in the wedding! I know he is probably going to go screaming down the aisle for his mom but at least he will look spiffy and cute in his little tux while doing so
