doing their own make-up? I have had my makeup done before and I always find that it's heavy and cakey. Plus, I will be tan because it's the summertime!
If you are doing your own make-up, are there any products that you recommend? Thanks!

Re: Is anyone...
I am doing my own makeup (well, my cousin is helping me a bit). I went to clinique in the mall and the woman there helped me pick out all the makeup and she put it on me to to see if I would like it. So now I have tons of great makeup and i watched how she did it and I bought good makeup brushes so I could do it the same. The only negative thing...
All of this was more expensive then if I hired a makeup artist for my wedding!!!!!

I did my own makeup for my wedding. We had a small wedding and so I was trying to keep costs down, but probably would have done my own anyway, even if we were going all out.

if you are worried about makeup being 'cakey' why dont you consider using air-brushing

At least you'll have the makeup to use for more than one occasion.

I'm doing my own make-up. I don't normally wear make-up so I don't want someone I don't know fussing and making me look like someone else.
