My boss moved to Arizona to start chemo treatement for cancer, so I'm my own boss right now! I have a few direct supervisors now, but if I invite one, I'd have to invite them all, so I'm just going to ask them to attend the ceremony (not reception).

I considered leaving her off the guest list, but that meant I had to leave off a few people I work with that I truly WANT to be there. So, I'm biting the bullet on this one and inviting her - bad manners and all.

I'm inviting my manager but not his boss. I never talk to him. But my manager is a friend too so I'll invite him and his wife- also a friend. I'm inviting the entire deptment I work in (6 people) but most of them are getting invited without guest because they are single so it's not so bad.

My theory is, no matter how close you are with someone at work, if you don't see them outsside of work, why invite them to an intimate affair like a wedding? I understand work is important, but like I say 'Work is not my life, it's PART of my life.'

I had a few girls I used to work with who I went out with quite often, but I haven't seen them since I had my baby, so they are not on my guest list.

I actually get along very well with my boss and all my co-workers but one. I only inviting them (4 total plus their guest) because I want them at my wedding. I really don't like one of them and don't want to invite her but I am bitting the bullet and will probably invite her because it would create problems in our group. I don't want my other co-worker to pay the consequences of her 'attidude' if she is not invited. It's kind of a all or nothing deal. That *****! Office politics.

I would not invite them if I did not feel close to them.
