Re: Is anyone a lonley wife?
No John & me are always home at the same time & do most things together-even read LIW sometimes
But yes lonliness does cause unhappiness
I know someone like this. My friend is a miserable person cause she's lonely

Re: Is anyone a lonley wife?
Nope, not lonely at all. We try to keep the same schedule, and make the biggest effort to eat dinner together with no distractions every night!

Re: Is anyone a lonley wife?
We eat dinner as a family every night but from now until January.........I am a fishing widow! It makes him happy and I truly don't mind. Sometimes I get lonely but to be honest I enjoy the quiet. He comes home so happy that it infectious!

Re: Is anyone a lonley wife?
FH picks me up from the bus when he's not working nights so we see each other at the same time. I miss him when he works night tours at the firehouse (once or twice a week) but sometimes I welcome it because I get to paint my toes or do a facial, etc. without worrying about getting dinner ready and all that stuff. He also bowls on Wednesday nights , but I wait for him to eat dinner together because we love spending time with each other.

Re: Is anyone a lonley wife?
Chris & I live and work together...but he leaves before me and gets home after me and usually puts in another 2-3 hours at home.
Sometimes it drives me mad - mostly b/c I feel bad for him NOT b/c I feel lonely. I'm perfectly content with doing my own thing - I like having 'me' time and tend to be pretty selfish with it.

Re: Is anyone a lonley wife?
A little bit - DH is up super early so he goes to bed super early, sometimes before 8.00. Short of illness, I can't got to bed that early although I watch TV with him 'til he falls asleep and then I putter around for a couple of hours.

Re: Is anyone a lonley wife?
Yes I am a lonely wife and what about it So what I am angry, I have my LIW to keep me company ok. ok j/k
Roger and I travel to work together and he gets home most time before I do, I go to the gym in the evenings. When he travels I become a lonely wife and I miss him so.
When I don't go to the gym, he picks me up and we ride home together, I love those times b/c they are so rare.

Re: Is anyone a lonley wife?
My husband works for Keyspan. He has sucky hours and his schedule is different every week. I leave the house at 7:15am and usually I am home before 6:30pm everyday. My husband however can work overnights, till 11pm, weird days during the week off.. hardly ever has a full weekend off... This all started the day after we got bcak from our honeymoon. I cried the first 2 weeks. I am better now and getting used to it. I feel for anyone who honey has a horrible schedule. That is why we went to Aruba for a few days. I needed to spend some quality time with my hubby!

Re: Is anyone a lonley wife?
HArry and I have almost the same schedule. We try and take the same train in the AM but at night we leave at different times. We eat dinner together almost everynight!
I dont necessarily agree that lonely=agressive behavior.

Re: Is anyone a lonley wife?
No we travel to work and home usually together! People used to say to me that we spend too much time together but thats how I knew we were in love - couldn't spend ENOUGH time together!

Re: Is anyone a lonley wife?
FH has an amazing work ethic, but sometimes I wish he would be a little lazier. He has a regular, full-time job as the chief technology officer for a company, which means that whenever there is a tech problem, he's the one who gets called - at all hours of the day or night and weekends. He also started his own consulting business literally overnight, and that has been eating up the rest of his free time. We used to both spend a lot of time on our computers or in front of the TV in our old apartment in the same small living room, but once we moved, FH has his own office, so I rarely see him when we're home. I used to tell him that spending time together in the same room was not the same as spending quality time together, but I would rather have that back than what we have now. He says that he is working so hard now so that he won't have to work this hard in the future when we have a family, and I respect that he's really doing what he's doing for our future, but sometimes I feel very lonely, even with him in the next room.
However, I don't think it makes me angry or aggressive. Anyone who knows me knows I was a b*tch long before FH and I got together.

Re: Is anyone a lonley wife?
Right after we got married my husband was working 12 hour days - 7 days a week for about 3 months. If he came home early or had one day off he was too exhausted to do anything. My mom started to call me a widow b/c I had to go to functions all by myself, do all the houswork by myself. So I would say I was a lonely wife for a couple of months. Now he's back to his regualr work schedule but he now goes toschool 2 nights a week so he doesn't get home till 11 and he works weekends. I might be lonely sometimes but he only works so many hours so we can buy a house.
