Hun, I am so sorry about your cat that passed away. Animals do act funny when their siblings pass away. It takes time.

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. It's so heartbreaking to lose a pet. I hope his brother's spirits improve soon.

I'm sorry Gina! AS others have said I too believe that pets get sad when not only another pet, but when a person dis. When my dad died my dog was def sad, she ust sat at the stop where my dad used to sit on the couch for a while. Feel better! And just love up your other cat...you will be able to help eachother heal!

I'm so sorry
.
. Animals do know when either another animal has passed or when a human has passed and they do become depressed. My dog was really depressed and just very mopy not playful at all when my dad passed away. I had heard somewhere that fish helps dogs feel better so probably the same for cats also.

Oh no Gina..........I'm so, so sorry. I hope that you didn't say anything until now because of me. I know how you're feeling right now, and if you need me for anything at all, I'm here for you.
I think it's possible though. We had a cat that used to live across the street, and would come over and talk to Angel through the window. He got hit by a car in November, and that's when Angel immediately started deteriorating. We think part of the matter was that he had a broken heart.

Oh Gina! I am sooo sorry about your cat.I've always hoped that mine would never pass... but I know one day... ehh... soooo sad to even think about.
Cats can definately get depressed esp when losing their friend. I would give him a week and if he still isn't eating then take him to a vet just to be sure. Give him lots of love and attention too!
I'm sooooo sorry!
