Is anyone attempting DIY invites?

My friend who got married last year did all her own invites using Cards and Pockets.com and they came out so nice.

If I were to do that, do you think I could contact someone on Etsy to make the design and then I could print them out and assemble them on my own?

My MOH and I are making mine, but we arent using any kit or anything. It's going to be a lot of work, but I think they are super cute!

you can buy a bundle pack from Adobe. it contains Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign and i beleive it's around $800? I haven't looked in quite some time. it could be $400.
