Re: Is anyone buying thier FI a gift?
I made DH a scrapbook, got him engraved locket cufflinks that I put photos of our grandparents in (since they have passed and couldn't be with us on our big day), and a video camera to bring on our HM.

Re: Is anyone buying thier FI a gift?
I added my two groom cake ideas to my album.
I agree, that most of his interests aren't things I'd want to highlight infront of grandmas but he still talks about football from HS so I'm thinking one of the cakes in my album or maybe a side profile view of a helmet with our HS colors and logo (is that the word? I'm such a girl! )
I haven't researched the where yet, just the what. I'll keep you posted!

Re: Is anyone buying thier FI a gift?
I'm doing a groom's cake and a video camera. I haven't decided if the grooms cake will be at the RD or RH. And I figure the video camera we'll all use.

Re: Is anyone buying thier FI a gift?
We actually did not exchange gifts per se. We paid for our own wedding and we concidered our HM to be our 'vacation' gift to each other.

Re: Is anyone buying thier FI a gift?
I'd love to buy FH a Rolex b/c he has wanted one for so long and he would love to wear it on our wedding day but they just raised the price to $7,000 and I just cannot afford that.
I could afford something along the lines of $500 or so but he has very expensive taste and a $500 watch would do nothing for him. So, I guess you can say that we probably will not be getting each other anything for the wedding. We are taking a cruise and maybe we will see something on the ship for each other. nothing too crazy though b/c we are strapped for money for the wedding and other bills.

Re: Is anyone buying thier FI a gift?
we postponed the idea of wedding gifts to each other until our first year wedding anniversary when things quiet down and we have a better sense of our finances.
Plus it will be a really great first year

I'm going to surprise my FI with the Tag Heuer watch he's always wanted and a pair of awesome skull and crossbone cufflinks!
