Is anyone else finding themselves staying in more to save for the big day?? My FH and I are sitting in tonight and watching wedding crashers (again) We started looking at houses today got a little depressing. It is too expensive to live on Long Island... grrrr

We stay home alot now because FH is working a second job now to make extra$$$ for the wedding. He is sooooooo tired all the time and all he does when hes not working is sleep. It stinks but it will be worth it. So yeah i guess we do stay in a lot more to save for the wedding.
I wish things were not so expensive we can easily drop $100 just going to dinner and a movie in 1 night.

I'm in tonite too... I'm sick! I've been worrying about saving money too though for a house and everything else. Maybe being sick is a good thing then if it stops me from spending money... lol

we never go out anymore! Its too much money! Each time we spend 100 i think thats another guest or that could have gone to the DJ!

i stay home all the time..because Fh and me are on complete diff schedules
he works 1st shift and i usually work 2nd so we like to just stay at home and hang out

Thankfully, we still do everything we have been doing before. FH saves, but he makes enough to save alot, pay the bills, and go out and do things.

I never thought I wouldn' see the light of day for so many days in a row ha ha ha ha...but if i leave the house I am always tempted to shop...my bottom slays glued to the seet parked right in front of my computer ha ha ha h

OMG YES! We both feel like we never do anything anymore cause we're trying so hard to save for the wedding and everything else that comes with it (apartment, furniture, etc)
I'm actually really excited cause FH is taking me out to dinner tonight!
It's sad...I know but we usually try and grab meals off our parents as often as possible to save some cash and I can't even tell you the last movie I saw in an actualy movie theater!
It's alright, staying in just gives us more time to plan all the things we're gonna go and do AFTER the wedding when there's a little more cash to spare!

Fh and I use to go out to eat a lot more then we do now. We still go out with friends drinking but we don't go to dinner. We are trying to save money. Sometimes its nice just to stay and home cuddle and watch a movie. I love doing that.

We stay in a lot more too. Its good though, cause we are both trying to help each other lose weight, and eating out is not good for dieting!

we rarely go out anymore but i kind of like it - when we go out too much i get bored of it but we went out to a potruguese restaurant last weekend and it was so great bc we havent been there in a long time so its a real treat!

Yes, I agree. We're both working two jobs to do this wedding thing. Who doesn't want a nice wedding, ya know? But when the cost on Long Island is something like $45G, vs the national average of like $25G, what can you do but stay in to save cash and work your butt off? Oh how I miss my friends.
Fortunately, you can hang out with other brides-to-be who are in the same money boat. Scattegories anyone? lol

We have became soooooo LAME!!!!! Splurging tonight to see a movie, and we're both feeling pretty bad about it already... LOL I won't even pay to get my roots done or even get a haircut thats how bad weve cut back!!!

I TOTALLY hear you!! I haven't colored my hair in at least a year and haven't cut it in about as long (ask me if i look like a total caveman. LOL).
