I am leaning towards having my sister and my best friend as Co-MOH's b/c they are both going to be doing the bulk of the work (all of the other girls I would have as BM are scattered across the country; best friend lives on LI, sister lives here in DC where I am). I mentioned to my mother that I was thinking of doing this, and she had a mini-flip out over it.
Has anyone else done this and if so, what was the thing that made you decide to go ahead and designate 2 of them?

I am. I have my sister as MOH and my friend as Matron of Honor, only because she is married and I couldn't give her MOH as a 'title'. My sister has to be my MOH because hse's my sister and I wouldn't have it any other way. But my BF is just that and I wanted her to have a special role, more significant then just BM. I don't think there's anything wrong with having 2 MOHs. It's your wedding. Do what you want!

I'm having two because I have two sisters. They are my MOHs. Actually one of them will be married by the time my wedding comes along so she'll be my Matron and my baby sister will be my Maid

I was a co maid of honor for my friend. We were both really important to her and she just couldn't pick one of us. Also another friend had a matron and a maid of honor because she wanted to have her sister in law as well as her best friend.
It isn't that big of a deal to have two instead of one- just make sure that you know ahead of time who will sign the marriage license. I can't really think of a reason why you shouldn't do it.

Im having 2! One is my best friend from elementary school,, I couldnt live without her,,,she completes me,,lol! The other is my little sister. I decided to have 2 because my sister is only 17 and wouldnt be able to really do all of the MOH things by herself! Plus, shes a total b!tch and has no real interest in my wedding - all she cares about are her friends- but she cant help it,,I think all teenagers go through that phase! Im just happy that she goes with the flow,,and doesnt cause drama!!! But I love them both to death,,and SOOOOO glad I decided to do it this way!

Yes I have 2. One on the East Coast and one on the West Coast. They both threw me showers and did a lot of work.
