FH and I are used to living a really comfortable life because he makes a good living, and the money that I made from my job was like our play money. But this wedding is draining our walletts like you wouldnt believe! I get paid again this Friday and my paycheck has already been spent. I know that we chose this for ourselves, and im sure I wont regret any of it in the end....BUT THIS IS HARD!!! I cant wait till were back to normal life after the wedding!!
Just had to vent.

We're trying to save for a house, are paying for part of the wedding, and still have the every day bills: rent, cars, student loans...

I am starting to stress myself..I have enjoyed spending my money on traveling, clothes, bags, going out, and I have done a major 180 turn. FH and I both have government jobs, so we make good salaries and will have good pensions, but this stuff adds up quickly...We are getting help with many things but we will still haveto shell out alot..I was considering downsizing my honeymoon (Tahiti) to someplace less expensive because we really want a house and we haveto look in nassau county (taxes are getting ridiculous) Im sure it will work out but right now everything seems so unclear!

Total basket case right here! FH has a decent job, and Im in grad school full time but I get paid thank the lord! But we still don't know how we are going to pay for stuff. Luckily my parents are helping us out, but FH just had knee surgery a couple months ago, and before that he had a little mini-stroke when he wasnt insured yet, so we have SOOO many medical bills to pay off. Plus I owe so much on my credit cards. I definitely cry over it at LEAST once a month. We also only get paid once a month, both at the end of the month so its really hard to budget and actually not spend all of our money the minute we get paid. I just cant wait til Im done with school and can get a real job!!

I am right with you guys. We are trying so hard but It is so difficult. As I look at prices of things (vendors)I get nauseous (sp) thinking about it
What makes it so hard and depressing is all the extras I want at the wedding and I want a house after but not with a 3000 a month mortgage.

Please it's like panic attack central here, I can't even begin to explain the stress I have with the $$$ issue without hyperventilating. I know it sounds dramatic but it happens every month right around the time I pay bills, coincidence? I think not!

Idk about SUPER Stressed, but I'm definitly stressed about it.
We;re lucky enough thatn FH earns a nice salary so that's what we live off of & use to $ave for a house.
My income practically all goes to Student loans & wedding related things. We're lucky enough where our parents are helping us w/ some wedding expences. FH is obvil taking care of the homeymoon.
I'm left w/ the lil things (that add up to 10k ) like favors, invitations,flowers, etc. My biggest is flowers, I'm having a hard time justifing the $$ for something that will die within days. Yeah I'm SUPER Stressed

When I get my bank statement it kills me. I see What I have been able to save & think hmmn, that $2500 for flowers could be den furniture Elope? or have our day. For some reason the day always win... Check back in a few days after I balance my Checkbook from last month

Yes, I know what you mean. FH and I decided to start going into wedding budget mode in May (1 year before the wedding) so this is the first month where we have to cut back. We both can not spend money the way we have been in the past. I have to start taking my lunch to work everyday which is really hard for me because it seems as if my job is surrounded by my favorite restaurants and my friend are always calling me and asking if I want to join them for lunch. I told FH that I will really try to stay on budget, he may have to remind me every now and then. It's going to be so hard!!!!

I am supers stressed about this weeding. My parents planned on giving us some money but now we are getting married in Hawaii; My parents are going to be paying an arm and leg to get there. Myparents also have to pay for an aunt and my gram. So the money they could have given us has completely diminished. So sad. All that matters is that everyone is there for the wedding. Fh just got a promotion so we have some more money but we are still in major school debt. Teachers need to be paid more

I stress about it EVERY DAY!!! Since we are paying for this wedding ourselves and it is so hard!! I was refusing to go over 20K but it looks like i might so over slightly! but maybe i can fix that!! lol its normal just everyu so often sit down take a breath and say....'i am gonna be married!!!!!' that might make u feel better!
