Is anyone else too poor to buy a friggin wedding band???

Original post by lipglossjunky73

We were thinking of buying a cheaper wedding band before the wedding just so we'd have something for the I Do's (like, 200 bucks tops for both rings from Macy's or Kay's) and then after the wedding, when we get some money, buy the rings we really want (we won't be spending that much but at least several hundred bucks per ring...)

Are we the only ones? There have to be some of you out there to make me feel better about doing this...

Thanks ladies - this indeed has been a very difficult year - we are going to see wht we can do- but it will probably be from macys, kays, or zales... and it will have to be less than 500 for both (hopefully close to 2-300) and eventually we will get there... i will always wear the cheaper ring on one of my fingers - maybe my right hand - to remind me of the struggles we went thru during this time...

I hear ya! We wanted to spend less on the rings because we will upgrade in 5 years. We got the best deal at Zareen's in Tri-County. Try there and see what is the best he can do for you. If you pay cash you don't have to pay tax on it.
Good Luck!!!!!!!

I have also heard you can find good stuff inexpensively at the jewelers in the flea markets... that's probably where we'll go, at least to look.

ours weren't expensive. mine was $500 and FH was $200.

depends which kind you get. you can probably find plain gold/white gold bands at the flea market for a couple hundred, or even less!

we got our rings online they were about 350 for the pair white gold with aquamarine stones

you can find really good deals online - just take a bit of time and look around

we are getting plain white gold bands for now. My e-ring is platinum, but I don't want to spend the extra $$ right now. I will probably get a different band a month or two after the wedding. Right now we just don't have the $$
