Is Anyone giving CHOCOLATE favors?

We frekin' love chocolate, and thinking of giving out chocolate truffles or something as favors. My favorite is Leonida's, but they run $38 per pound....is anyone giving favors? Where'd you get them from, do they package them for you, how much was it (approximately) and how many pieces did you include?

Re: Is Anyone giving CHOCOLATE favors?

We're doing wine bottles as our main favor, but putting 2 Lindt truffles in vellum bags and using that as the escort/seating cards. The chocolates were bought from www.yummies.com, they were $40.73 including shipping for 120 pieces of the white chocolate balls. The bags I found at Wrap With Us www.wrapwithus.com for $2.49 for 48.
If you like Lindt (or the idea of it) http://www.globalchocolates.com/balls.htm has them cheap...$160 for 6 cases of 96 each (so 576 balls). Packaging is not that expensive if you DIY.
www.thewhiteaisle.com has beautiful boxes for about $1 each, but that was too much for me.http://www.blissweddingsmarket.com/store/000078.htm is also good and www.wrapwithus.com just rocks.

Hope I helped!

Amazon has Leonidas 2 lb ballotins for $56.00. Not sure how many come in a lb. but it's cheaper than $38 a lb.

Re: Is Anyone giving CHOCOLATE favors?

We may order personalized chocolates for favors - either with our monogram or picture on them. If found it on ebay, it ranges from $1.10-$1.25/each, she'll wrap them in cellophane and you get a ribbon color of your choice. So no work to be done on my part!

You can always do the hersey bars or another one of your favor candy bars--some use them also as placecards & double as a favor. Another idea which I did for my e-party was we bought hersey kisses (you can really use any candy) and put them in organza bags an then tied them put our personalized bow and a rose bud and they looked so lovely.

M&M's are $4.99 per lb at Economy Candy in Manhattan. You can get tons of colors and you can also buy them from the M&M website with personalized printing.

I love Leonidas (the hot choc. is THE BEST) but for chocolates, I am a huge fan of Jacques Torres. It is cheaper then Leonidas and SO good.

Re: Is Anyone giving CHOCOLATE favors?

My sister (moh) volunteered to make these cute chocolate bars that say thank you for sharing our special day, or something to that effect. I'm going to put that with my favor..whatever that maybe

I wanted to add more chocolate to the wedding but the fountain is too expensive.. and I'm not sure what else.

My colors in my wedding are Red and White so those are the colors of the lollypops. Believe my Emmanuel and i LOVE chocolate.

Re: Is Anyone giving CHOCOLATE favors?

I'm using Godiva chocolates for my favors. If you go to the store, they have 2 different types of boxes with 2 or 4 chocolates and different colored ribbons to choose from plus they print out info for you if you want. They look really nice. I'm ordering them soon. It may be what you are looking for. Check out their website too.
