Is Anyone giving CHOCOLATE favors?

Original post by ChrissynRicky

We frekin' love chocolate, and thinking of giving out chocolate truffles or something as favors. My favorite is Leonida's, but they run $38 per pound....is anyone giving favors? Where'd you get them from, do they package them for you, how much was it (approximately) and how many pieces did you include?

We're doing wine bottles as our main favor, but putting 2 Lindt truffles in vellum bags and using that as the escort/seating cards. The chocolates were bought from www.yummies.com, they were $40.73 including shipping for 120 pieces of the white chocolate balls. The bags I found at Wrap With Us www.wrapwithus.com for $2.49 for 48.
If you like Lindt (or the idea of it) http://www.globalchocolates.com/balls.htm has them cheap...$160 for 6 cases of 96 each (so 576 balls). Packaging is not that expensive if you DIY.
www.thewhiteaisle.com has beautiful boxes for about $1 each, but that was too much for me.http://www.blissweddingsmarket.com/store/000078.htm is also good and www.wrapwithus.com just rocks.

Hope I helped!

SomethingBlu....you are fantastix! I want to do the wine and chocolates also! Thanks for all the info and tips!

Aw, thanks Jamie! I just want to say that I received my yummy chocolates today from yummies.com - 2 whole boxes of Lindt white truffles, shrink wrapped and sealed...in perfect condition. Super fast shipping and no problems...120 pieces for $40.73, can't beat that! RAVE for www.yummies.com!

We are buying three-truffle boxes from truffle trolley (www.truffletrolley.com) We ordered a sample in the liqueur flavor and they were the best I have ever tasted.

Do they charge you for the sample?

I had truffles for my wedding. I used Gabe's Nut and Candy. Pam is the main contact there.

I absolutely loved them and highly recommend them. They are based in PA. Great customer service and our guests seemed to be happy with the truffles. The candy store can ship the product to you or you can pick them up. They have lots of options for boxes and chocolates.

They were very reasonably priced.

Feel free to email me at [email protected] if you have any questions.

We are doing truffletrolley too! We are getting two truffles, they come in their own box with a ribbon (tons of colors to pick from) and you get to pick the flavors you want.

Samples are free..just email them, info is on the website. Also.....200 boxes of truffles comes to about $220. Not too shabby!
