FH has been to Cabo twice and LOVEEEEES it. His only negative remarks were that it is a long flight, and that its pacific ocean water so depending on what time of year you go it could be freezing, and its very rocky in some areas. But, if you go somewhere with a great pool there should be no problems.

Ive read such mixed reviews about the all inclusives there. The Riu got such bad reviews on trip advisor. Plus i dont think Cabo has many all inclusive hotels.

In general, I would not do an all inclusive. For me and FH, half the fun is searching out fun restaurants and leaving the resort. Plus, many all inclusives tend to have poor quality food. That's not to say ALL of the all inclusive resorts do, I don't want to offend anyone.

Cabo is great. I've been there 3 times. However, if you are looking for beautiful ocean, this is not the place. The water is just barely swimable in a few locations. There are some really nice resorts though that have great pools.

There are a good number of all-inclusives in Cabo.

If you go - I'd try to stay in a place in the tourist corridor closer to San Lucas. We didn't do much research when we went and we stayed in San Jose - which is a 30 minute cab ride from San Lucas where the restaurants/nightlife is.

The ocean/sea water wasn't really swimmable when we were there. We were able to snorkel though and our resort had a nice pool.

We got to see Sammy Hagar in concert at Cabo Wabo for his birthday which was really cool!

I liked it but, there are places I liked better (Aruba for one).
